Covenant's bio

Covenant originally started in the fall of 2005. The original members were part of our church traveling P&W team. A few months into the traveling team, we knew we had something special. The anointing we felt was much different than what we were used to. Our calling became apparent that our music was going to be a stronger, more driving rock sound. So, we set out to do what God had called us to do.We sat down and tried to decide on a band name. We had chosen to make a commitment to God to give back what He had given us. Jesus already made a covenant with us, so, in return, we wanted to commit our lives and all our gifts and talents back to him. Based on Matt. 26:28, we decided to call ourselves, Covenant. A constant reminder of our commitment to God.We knew instantly that our music would be much more than just P&W. We felt the calling to write our own original songs. Even though our music will always be worship driven, our songs were going to tell a message. We were setting out to tell the world about Jesus with the music that He had given us, with the talents and gifts He had blessed us with. December 2005, we had our first 'gig' and knew from the minute we started, that THIS is was definitely what we were called to do. Since then, our lives have completely changed. To date, more than half of the songs we play are originals. God has blessed us with the gift to write our own music, and more importantly, share His story with the world. He has given us a ministry family that is very rare and unique, and we don't take it for granted. We are very thankful to be a part of His kingdom, and to be able to share HIM with the world and bring MORE people into His kingdom.

I spent most of my life serving the world with music. However, now I have the honor of serving our King with the talents he has blessed me with. To serve the Lord is like no other feeling in the world. I'm so in awe that the King of Kings would use someone like me to deliver His Word to the world. I was an alcoholic that only cared about myself. Praise God for his everlasting and undeserving mercy and grace! Don't ever think that you are not 'good enough' to serve the Lord, we are all sinners saved by the blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ! If you don't have a relationship with Jesus, I urge you to reach to the heavens and open your heart to a life thats incomparable to anything on this earth. All the honor and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I like playing music for the Lord..especially with the brothers and sisters I have the opportunity to play with now. Every time we play I feel blessed! The Lord blessed me with a wife who sings like an angel and two guitar players that can play with the best of them, and a bass player that is one of a kind! So, bang a Drum 4 JESUS..hey, if you don't like it, too bad, get over it or get the Holy Ghost smack down laid upon you-ha!!

Music has been a part of my life since I was very young. From singing duets with my Dad, and singing for my great-grandfather at the dinner table....those times are very special in my heart. However, nothing has been more of a privilege or honor to me, than to be called to minister to people with song--spreading the Word of God through music. Knowing the Lord has called me to sing from my heart, and to lead people into the presence of God, is a great honor, something I don't take for granted. I am extremely blessed to minister with this group..God has truly blessed us all, not only with gifts and talents, but with hearts for HIM, and love for each other...and I praise HIM for it!! Thank You Lord! I love you!

I am honored to have the opportunity to minister through music.I have a deep desire to lay something beautiful at the Lords feet. I'm not a great scholar or a eloquent speaker, so I thought playing an awesome song would touch His heart and show Him how much I love Him. Truth is, loving His children, sharing who He is with a lost world so they can come to know Him, reuniting the Lord with His children is the most awesome gift we can lay at His feet. So take the gifts the Lord has placed inside you and use them to bring those around you into His kingdom. Your desires are there for a purpose, and thats to reach His lost children. So they too will spend eternity with their Heavenly Father. Nothing else will give Him greater joy than to have us all with Him.

I love the Lord, I love people and I love music. These are three things I plan on spending an eternity with and for now I want as much as I can get. Being accepted into the Covenant family has gotten me one step closer to that end which is actually just a beautiful beginning.It is easy to feel so at home with this ministry because of a common call and a common heart of worship. I pray that as I grow with Covenant, Tony will disappear and only my love for Him and His people will be seen, heard and felt through what we do.
